In the summer of 1981, two titans of modern cinema, George Lucas (Star Wars) and Steven Spielberg (Jaws) joined forces to create one of the most indelible icons of the silver screen Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford in the starring role. Jones' first quest, Raiders of the Lost Ark went on to become the highest grossing film of the year, earning four Oscars in the process.

With 45 Academy Award nominations and five Oscars under his belt, John Williams has composed many of the most famous film scores in history, and has collaborated with Spielberg for over 40 years on over 20 films including Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and Schindler's List. Williams also composed the acclaimed scores for Lucas' Star Wars saga, Superman: The Movie and the first three Harry Potter films.

Housed in a two-pocket gatefold jacket, this updated 180g 2LP edition of the Grammy-nominated Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack faithfully mirrors the 2008 expanded edition and includes original stills and artwork from the film.
